Women In Confidence with Bridget Schaeffers - Women In Confidence

Episode 14

Living authentically, practicing yoga and living in the present with Bridget Schaeffers on Women In Confidence

This week's guest is Bridget Schaeffers, Founder of The Yoga Travel Company – a company that offers bespoke yoga and wellness retreats in her home land of New Zealand.

Bridget first discovered yoga in 2013 when her inner guide led her on a solo adventure to India. She attended her first yoga class in the spiritual town of Dharamshala, home to the Dalai Lama, an auspicious beginning, for certain.

Under the guidance of skillful teachers and the lens of her own devoted curiosity, Bridget’s practice deepened and evolved. She has studied in both India and New Zealand and is currently completing her advanced 300hr yoga teacher training with The New Zealand Yoga Collective. Bridget’s teaching draws on various styles of yoga and the wisdom gained from nearly a decade of experience in her field.

In 2018, Bridget decided to connect her 6 years of tourism industry experience with her love for sharing yoga - and the Yoga Travel Co. was born. A true synergy of her passions - yoga, travel, and people. She believes that we're all connected through the universal power of love and can experience divine moments nof truth, healing and transformation through these ancient practices. Living in the sunny Hawkes Bay in New Zealand with her daughter and husband, Bridget lives and teaches from the heart.

Vanessa is a HR Consultant, The Founder of Boom Podcast Agency and a Podcast Host.
Vanessa got her first proper job in 1998 when she joined as an Officer in the Royal Navy and then after 15 years doing that, she transitioned into senior HR and Culture roles working for organisations all over the world.
She now has 2 strings to her bow....
Firstly, she is an empath, avid people watcher and she likes to observe people when they were operating with confidence and self-belief and learn strategies, tools and techniques from them. She helps women with confidence at work and her Women In Confidence podcast is a way for her to share her knowledge and her network with a wider audience.

Secondly, she has always been fascinated by what makes a company great to work for and now devotes her time to creating workplaces that not only have impressive performance but are also human centred - hint... they are not mutually exclusive. Her Conversations About Company Culture podcast is her way of sharing ways to build great organisations.
